Petition of Uzdemfundsuisse
to the government, Central Bank and General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan
Uzdemfundsuisse has managed to obtain a very important information from two different sources in the last month. With backing to these information, we would like to send following questions to the government, Central Bank and General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan:
1) Has Gulnara Karimova ever been involved in storing the gemstones in depositories of Central Bank of Uzbekistan?
2) Was there any record of shortage in these depositories?
3) Has Gulnara Karimova ever been engaged in trading with gemstones in Switzerland? Was the trade of diamonds, which had been traded under the brand of Chopard, authorised by Central Bank of Uzbekistan?
4) Is president of Uzbekistan aware of that these documents (e.g., authorisation by Central Bank) are being considered as forged by Swiss authorities? If so, is he happy that these gemstones are confiscated by Swiss authorities as exhibit in ongoing criminal investigation.
5) Will documents containing a detailed information about an exact value of the gemstones, which were found in Gulnara Karimova’s Villa in Switzerland, be presented to International Courts.
There are some genuine documents, which had been given for gemstones trading and directly belong to Uzbek state, are under consideration in an ongoing criminal investigations and trails against Gulnara Karimova, Uzdemfundsuisse has got some copies of these documents in its possession and this makes suspension or halt of ongoing criminal investigation due to bilateral agreement impossible. Swiss General Prosecutor’s Office as well as Uzbek authorities must to take into account that this wealth, which is equal to billions of dollars, pertains to uzbek people and has to be immediately returned to Uzbek people! Since 2010 Uzdemfundsuisse has been publishing materials about the construction of Gulnara Karimova’s Villa in Switzerland and illigel lodge of part of Uzbek state treasury into this villa on a regular basis.
We demand that above mentioned organisations, of course taking into account an ongoing criminal investigations, publicised their answers for our questions. Lawyers, legal advisers and experts of Uzdemfundsuisse are ready to raise above mentioned questions before Geneva’s cantonal Prosecutor and in Swiss courts.
